All of the Scenic Circle drives started and ended at the State Capitol Building, as this booklet reflects. Tours varied from 68 to 143 miles (110 to 230 km) per the original roads, but 20 miles (32 km) of that round trip was just getting to and from Golden. The foothills loop (Golden to Morrison to Evergreen and return to Golden) is less than 40 miles (64 km) today.
